I need to split my children up asap and need a stud wall moving to turn one too tiny room and one massive room into two nice sized rooms.
The stud wall is 4m and needs moving about 1m. There is one light switch and one plug socket.
300 to build a new stud wall
800 to insulate and skim etc
100 for skirting board
300 to remove old wall and make good
Plus VAT
I was expecting about £1000 total.
Any educated opinions on the price?

the 800 is too expensive .Is it just a stud wall ? any doorway etc . this does include materials as well I expect . Edit its all overpriced to be fair . depending on the height being less than 8 ft and a kingspan type insulation and standard skirting its £250 materials and max 3 days work for one person . . Max 2 days work for 2 people. £70 timber . 7 @ 1200 x2400 half inch boards £70. 3 @ 50mm insulation boards ( fibre insulation is cheaper ) £90. 2 bags of the wet stuff. bit of cable . hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0
