I agree that this may well have happened especially if they realised the bike was selling at a loss. Most online and instore retailers have a clause in their terms and conditions stating that they can withdraw promotions and discounts at any time or in the event of a pricing error.
I think the above poster was referring to the fact that you need offer + acceptance (and a few other things) in order to have a legally binding contract and most online retailers state acceptance doesn't take place until they dispatch the goods - allowing them to reject/cancel orders even where there is no discount or pricing error as no contract exists until they physically dispatch the goods.You keep using that word.
