Hello all,
I wonder if anyone can give me any advice. Myself, the Mrs and two other couples + baby & pregnant with second are heading to Cornwall for a week, specifically Portreath. I haven't been to Cornwall since I was really young, and therefore I am wondering what there is to do nearby.
Us boys have 4 morning rounds of golf booked but I was wondering if anyone has any other ideas. We can drive but it would be good to hear some ideas.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know much about Portreath itself, but Godrevy Beach is just down the coast. Nice big beach. Godrevy Cafe is supposed to be nice, but I haven't tried it yet - http://www.godrevycafe.co.uk/index.html
If you're going in September then the seals might be in Mutton Cove - park in the furthest car park at Godrevy, head to the top corner, follow the signs over the hill and they're in the cove below.
On the coast road between Portreath and Godrevy there's a cafe called Hell's Mouth Cafe - haven't been in a few years, but they used to do nice breakfasts.
St Ives is just a bit further down the coast. Loads to do. Easily spend a nice day there.
If anyone's into ice-creams, try Mr B's at Hayle (between Godrevy and St Ives) - http://www.mrbsicecream.co.uk/
St Agnes is just up the coast - nice beach.
Tehidy Country Park is just down the road - http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/environment-and-planning/parks-and-open-spaces/tehidy-country-park/?page=13240 Can be nice if it's raining as you don't get too wet under the trees.0 -
