30 hour rule

Hi Just checking ....my child tax credits will end 31st August. I currently work 26 hours a week ( no more hours available in place of work) , I know that I need to be working 30 hours to get working tax credits, as a single person. Do all 30 hours have to be paid or could I do 4 ( or more ) hours unpaid work in a charity shop?

As said on their website, you must be paid.

Keep in mind that you don't need to limit your new hours to just four. You might have more success looking for something around the sixteen hour mark.
