Why do some building societies have special 50 or 60 plus accounts ?

    Ive got A Northern Rock "silver Saver" fat lot of good its doing me at the moment.!
  • The 1 year fixed rate bonds offered by SAGA (through Birmingham Midshires) have usually been at a little bit higher rate than elsewhere.
    But for the last week Bhm Ms paying more than via SAGA
    So one shouldnt assume that the >50 accounts are a con !
    The application process by telephone is a pain tho'.
