Morning everyone, thanks for the thread nmlc.
Dull and overcast here, still feels muggy though so will be nice when the rain arrives, the garden certainly needs it as the grass looks parched.
Yesterday was a nice quiet day, spent a lot of time sitting in the garden reading. So much so need to get to the library today to replenish my books, could also do with a few bits of fresh veg etc.
Went over to see Bill as obviously didn't make it over the day before, have to admit it's nice to just have some time to myself and do nothing / think about nothing but my lovely boy for a while.
Hope you have a great holiday RR, enjoy your day DUMPLING.
Have a good day everyone, take care folks x0 -
Raining here in Blackpool...at least I won't have to water the allotment, just the greenhouses.
Need to make a start on a paper flower production line for DS2s wedding in 3 weeks, DH needs to start making the truffles for the favours and then the week before the big day I'm on cake duty - no pressure there!
Laundry to be done, our bed to change, bathroom to wipe over and Dyson to be dragged around... It won't do itself so had better get on with it2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Good morning chums,
Nice to be back.
Long event day at work yesterday meant I didn't get home till 9.30pm, so done some tidying up and was probably snoozing for 11.30.
Up and at it already today, in work nice and early (hence how I can check in here) and it should hopefully be a busy and productive day. Not too sure what my plans are tonight however I hope it doesn't cost me. I'll put the feelers out with my friends.
Gers - Enjoy your day in Glasgow!
redruby - Safe travels and enjoy
Coxy - Fingers crossed you hear positive news today.0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
OH was ok yesterday but he is very weak, says the hospital food is inedible he only had salad for his supper on Wednesday night, he ordered a baked potato with cheese, he could not eat the potato so just had the cheese and side salad. Step son is going in today, I have asked him to see the Doctors. I wish he would get moved to Melton, I would have a better chance of getting something done.
Laundry in, not sure if it will dry, it's very grey but no rain as yet.
Couple of jobs I need to do, then I am going to take it easy for the rest of the day, will be visiting both days over the weekend.0 -
...and the rain has arrived in Glasgow already. I zoomed into town first thing, so early that JL wasn't open, and did my Mum's shop in Lak*land. So much eye candy in there (I mean the goods) that it's mind boggling.
Didn't buy myself anything except a bacon roll.0 -

I hope DH would be pleased with what I have got done. When the reupholstered rocking chair came back I could almost hear him laughing about how long we had been about to be getting it done.
csarina
I hope you manage to get DH moved - could PALS help?
An early delivery arrived and my new dressing table is now in my bedroom and looks really good. I still need to find my drawer organisers and get everything neatly folded and easy to find.
I had chicken and salad for a late lunch and might just have something like soup or a sandwich tonight. Still have some books etc in my bedroom to be tidied away and a stem cleaner to unpack but the lure of a good book and a pot of tea might over ride that idea.
