Hi,
I received a box junction fine.
I'm not sure how to post a picture of it and it wont let me post a link as a new member!
It reads:
The london Borough of redbridge believes that a PCN is payable with respect to the above vehicle XXX for the following alleged contravention
31J Entering and stopping in a box junction when prohibited (camera enforcement)
In Barley Lane.
The alleged contravention was noted by enforcement office 041 on 09/08/16 at 8:04 from a road side camera.
I was stopped in the junction in the pictures from 08:04:43.959 to 08:04:52.087.
I believe on the day (I use the junction everyday and cannot view any footage online) that I entered the box when the car blocking me in the picture was still moving and the car behind them had waved to give way to let me out. However the first car did not move far enough forward for me to exit the box junction.
I have read through some over posts on box junctions and wondered if the below would be valid for me as i was turning right?
12.2 Drivers entering the box when their exit is
obstructed by stationary vehicles, whether in the road
ahead or to either side, commit an offence. It is
permissible, however, to enter and become stationary
if turning right and prevented from leaving the
junction only by oncoming traffic, or by other
vehicles waiting to complete the right turn

you need to post this over on pepipoo forums0
-
As above, Pepipoo is the best place for this.
Remember the offence is stopping in a box junction ... photographs by their very nature show a stationary vehicle.
(I appreciate that they probably have timestamped photos that show the vehicle in the same position at different times).0 -
thanks, i have tried signing up for pepipoo but for some reason the email to authenticate my account has not come through, i have tried with 2 different email addresses and neither have come through so i can't post on there!0

try something other than hotmail , like googlemail or yahoomail
our advice to you is still the same , despite your email difficulties0 -
Are both email addresses Hotmail? (They're not allowed).
I've just registered there (using a Gmail address) and it worked straight away.0 -
oh yes they are both hotmail, thank you I had no idea hotmail wasn't acceptable!0
