UKPC PCN for residential car park

Hello,
I have lived at my current address for more than 2 years and have parked in the same space every day during that time. A couple of months ago I received a £60 PCN from UKPC on my windscreen for "parking in a permit area without displaying a valid permit". There are signs at the entrance to the car park but not nearby or view able from my car space. I have a permit and was parked in my allocated residential space although my permit had somehow fallen off the dashboard onto the floor of my car. It could have been the wind but I suspect my permit was taken off the dash for the photo evidence. I have no proof of this but have heard of other cases where this has happened though on google reviews for UKPC.
I immediately sent an online appeal to UKPC and received an automated response saying I would have a decision within 35 days. (Unfortunately I didn't know about this site beforehand. Have I inferred who the driver was by doing this?). I heard nothing back till today when I received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus demanding payment for £160 for non-payment and if payment wasn't received that they would court action would be taken in a week.
I also contacted my property management to see if they could get the ticket cancelled as I've read people have had success with this but they were unable to help. They also issued my parking permit which UKPC claim is invalid so could they be liable if it goes to court?
UPDATE The management company have now issued new permits!!
UPDATE! I just found a reply to my appeal letter from UKPC which is a major problem as I thought they hadn't replied to my appeal and I didn't appeal to POPLA. Can I / should I, still appeal to POPLA as my original ticket was issued in late May and do I still have grounds to fight this ticket?? Can anyone please help with this as I'm not sure what my next step should be. DRP are saying if I don't pay up they will refer it back to UKPC to start court action. Should I ignore them? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

the popla code is valid for 28 days , and possibly up to 33 days , after that its expired and you wont get another one nor will it be resurrected, so I am afraid that boat has salied
IGNORE drp
come back if you get an LBC or an MCOL from UKPC or their solicitors (not DRP)
and yes you may have appealed as driver , not KEEPER , so may have lost some legal protections0 -
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
