Natwest Platinum credit card increase

Hello
I have a Natwest platinum credit card with a 1.7k limit. I was wondering if i can apply for an increase and how long it takes for an answer? I would like 3k to purchase a car. Ive only had the card since June this year. My income is good but because i have limited credit my credit score is low. I only have the 1 card on file so my score is lower for that reason apparently,

Usually most credit card companies won't give an increase for the first 6 months. There is no harm giving them a call and asking, or you could apply for another card somewhere else.

From my experiance Natwest never increased my credit limit.

I had no problems receiving credit limit increase from any other banks - been with Bcard, lloyds, halifax, mbna. I found Natwest to be worse on initial credit limits and increases.
