Experiences of Elephant Car Insurance?

Hi There. I haven't posted on MSE for ages.

What kind of experiences have people had with Elephant car insurance. They are coming out as £20 cheaper than my current insurer (Direct Line) but don't want to use them if they are difficult to deal with in terms of customer service or claims.

Thanks

They are ok, they're cheap and cheerful, part of the Admiral group.

Your DL policy will provide wider cover than the Elephant Policy.

Have you asked DL to match the cheaper price?

Thanks dacouch. Yes I have asked DL to match it but they won't. They did reduce it by a bit though. You say that Elephant won't be so wide cover. They both include replacement car, business use, protected NCD. Elephant also includes cover abroad for 90 days whereas I think I had to pay DL extra for that.
