sorting digital photos in order quickly

Hi
I want to print a photo book for a friend of mine. For his wedding (photos from his weddding).
I would like to quickly and easily work out the order the photos are in the book. Whats the best way to go about it? Is there an app that will allow me to quickly drag it around the folder and then automatrically rename them in sequential order so it can go to the printed and be printed correctly?

Use Picassa - it's relatively quick and painless.0

If you are planning to use an online service like Photobox, then you build the book online and can preview/adjust it as much as you like before you commit to getting it printed.
It takes a long time to sort it out and get the layout as you want it - been there, done that!
