Ok we had two staff in travel lodge in newcastle and apparently their ticket machine was down and the hotel to their reg. I have spoken to hotel and they said they would get two fines canceled.
We only had two tickets for one guy who was there 4 nights!?!??
I have sent the standard appeals letter with proof of our corporate booking at the hotel on our acc.
Also in the envelope was another persons ticket for the same week!??? Data breach do I tell the dvla?

Make certain you get this in writing or email.
YES, why not complain, cost these nutters time and money0 -
Absolutely complain to (not just tell) the DVLA. Complain that APCOA cannot be trusted to handle sensitive personal data, and as such the DVLA should withdraw their access rights.
Require the DVLA to tell you, in the event of not withdrawing access rights, what measures are they putting in place to ensure that no further breach is occasioned by APCOA.
Ask the DVLA if they are reporting this to the BPA and what measures they require the BPA to put in place.
In the event of an unsatisfactory answer, I'd be inclined to fire off a FOI to extract the answers you require.
Breach of the DPA is serious stuff. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You need to give these Muppets as much pain as possible.
Remember, it's part of their business model to inflict misery to extract money out of as many motorists as they can!0 -
Are there enough details in that letter for you to get in touch with the other person?
If so then I would be tempted to get in touch with that other person, telling them that the Travel lodge hotel has breached data protection laws (?) and one of their agents have passed their personal private data on to you.
also tell them that you are making a complaint to the Information Commissioners office, and to the traveldoge hotel, not only for the parking tickets, but for the data breach as well.
Much as I agree with this:You need to give these Muppets as much pain as possible.
Remember, it's part of their business model to inflict misery to extract money out of as many motorists as they can!
You also need to give whoever employs/allows these muppets to operate on their land as much pain as possible - if not even more.
they are liable for the actions of their agents, and many of them are under some belief that its nothing to do with them as they contract it out( parking management) as well as being sold the lie that a PPC will provide a trouble free way to manage their car parks free of charge.
The Antics of PPC world are well known and documented, and any large company/corporation that allows such things to take place on their land, and in their name needs to feel some of the pain instead of just fobbing people off. From the Plain Language Commission:

Make contact with the lady who will also be concerned about this breach of data.
Then both of you can contact the DVLA as suggested for a full explanation0 -
Sent as complaint to travelodge first of all last week.
Now going to do BPA and DVLA
Will keep you updated.0
