Easy and efficient Passport renewal

Just to let everyone know if you're looking in to UK passport renewal in the coming months do it NOW! Renewal is very easy, no need for passport photos, photo from smartphone will suffice & it can be all done online too :beer:

Also it only took 1 week from renewal application to physically receiving my new passport! Well done Passport Office:beer:

That's very encouraging. Last time I renewed my passport the Post Office said my digital camera photo was too pale/light. They sent us to a photography place across the road and then accepted an even paler photo! I think they were on commission.

Thanks for the report, sounds good. Didn't even realise you could do the whole renewal online until I went to the passport application tracking site and it was the top option. I did the semi online, print out and send with pics and it was about 2 weeks from door to door but £8 for the pics from Max Speilmann and another £5ish registered post.

Plus you can do your renewal up to 9 months before expiry, and you get this time added onto your new passport.
