Littlewoods to end its reward scheme

Hi, I have been shopping with Littlewoods for about 20 years.
yes their things are a bit more pricey but you can pay for it in installments and you earn commission through their rewards scheme, so I was surprised to receive a letter saying the scheme was being axed after they have listened to customer's feedback.
I'm trying to work out which customer would tell them to scrap the scheme.
I smell a rat here .....

Possibly the customers that said scrap the rewards scheme in return for lower prices....but than only decided to partially implement this.0

They have probably decided to move with the times and drop a scheme that maybe hardly anyone uses, if it results in lower prices then that has to be a positive outcome for all.0

I can't see them lowering their prices but let's seeThird time lucky on WW I hope :j

The prices are about 20% more expensive so it i's quite a lot more!. So when you consider that the longest you can pay "interest free" for is 52 weeks then it's effectively an APR of 40%!!!!!.
Even a standard Credit Card interest rate is lower than this at around 17.9%!. Even the really rubbish cards at 34.9% would still be cheaper!.
So it's not as good as you think.0 -
I worked for Shop Direct Group many many moons ago and even then they were scrapping the scheme.
- New customers were not eligable for the scheme
- If you was Elite Platinum you could take your rewards as cash (albeit at a lower rate) and if you missed 1 payment or didn't order in 1 season you lost this status and you could never get it back (Not even a complaint to "customer excellence" would get it back to you)
Theyve wanted customers off the scheme for the last 5-10 years and theyve just pulled the plug.
Customers like the OP believed they were agents but they never were they just resold Littlewoods goods (although they got rewards on payments) if one of the Customers "customers" defaulted SDG would wash their hands and say its the customers responsibility to pay.
I could tell you more but I'd be going off topic0 -
I have bought nearly £900 worth of goods under buy now pay later on the understanding I would receive 10% rewards and they are now saying these do not qualify. Surely then I have been mis-sold by the company? Anyone know where I stand?0
