    Indeed. It's borderline usury. But that doesn't mean it's way out of whack with what a sub-prime finance place would charge.

    Isn't it £3000 over 60 months with £1000 interest?

    Therefore about 12%.

    About 5 or 6 years ago, I asked a car dealer what the APR was for the finance he was proposing, and he replied (without any visible sign of irony, shame or humour) "29.9%".
