• Good morning,

For the first time in a long while I've had an absent spell from here in the mornings just with various things going on. But here I am, hope you're all well.

Not much been going on in my personal life tbh. Keeping the spending to a minimum as usual. Yesterday evening my GF made my dinner, smoked haddock with greens and baked potato which was lovely although a few bones meant each mouthful was always analysed to much and kind of ruined it for me. Afterwards, I sat with her for an hour or so teaching her YNAB so hopefully she'll pick it up and she'll enjoy the benefits.

Todays a long day at work so they'll pay for food etc which is good, another NSD for me.

Hopefully I'll get to check in later on and catch up on everyones news.

Have a nice day people :)

Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. A misty morning, I guess Autumn is on its way, rain is forecast for tomorrow, but do we need rain!!

Lainey, so pleased that all went well at the wedding, sorry you mum passed out, but at least she saw a the important bit of the day.

Hospital again this afternoon. I did a load of washing when I got home, all dry and a fresh shirt ironed foe OH. Did nothing for the rest of the day except water the garden. Rain due tomorrow, hope it's the last time I need to water. I have been thinking a lot about the garden, I need to talk to OH about my plans see if he agrees. One thing is for sure we cannot go on like this, I just cannot cope with OH and the garden as well as the quilt group. I do not want to have to let the quilt group go, the ladies enjoy it so much.

Another fab Scampi day. I'm not relaxing though, the last time I did he started his I Hate EVERYTHING routine again :D

I've just finished a book called I Heart New York. I have the urge to go shopping in Bloomingdales, which is odd because I hate shopping and New York is just too crowded – and far away :D Might settle for buying a long skirt from Debenhams, I'll order it online because of people, lol.

The towels are in the washing machine, I have a whites load to do after that. The Dyson didn't move yesterday, I was going to clean up in the afternoon but it was so muggy that it all get left. I'll do it this morning while it's still cool. The kitchen floor could do with a clean too. Not sure what I'm doing this afternoon.

Lainey - so sorry your dear Mum was taken poorly yesterday. I've had sunstroke and it's horrible. Hopefully she is feeling brighter today, and like others have said, she saw the most important part of the day. Sending hugs xx

csarina - before I worked at the church and charity I was a gardener for 7 years. All my clients were retired ladies and gents who couldn't manage their gardens. They were grateful for the help - I mainly cut lawns and kept things tidy - nothing amazing, but it put their minds at rest that it was being sorted. Is there an agency or charity locally who could get you some help? I think they paid about £20 an hour (not that I saw that much per hour!). Just a thought xxx

  • Hi all,

    Just getting a chance to catch up;

TA - Glad you enjoyed the time at the caravan, always great fun. I haven't seen any results but I too hope the famous Brownlee Brothers nail it for GB.

Coxy - Fingers crossed you've heard some good news.

Lainey - I hope your mum is feeling better today

csarina - Hope the OH's health improves and try not to worry too much about household activities.

I had a nice quiet day and emptied out the handbag I have been using for a year and was getting a bit tatty. I now have a handbag I was given for Christmas which I will be using and have sorted out all the contents.

A cooked chicken is just out of the oven for tomorrow's meals and I did a quick shop as a new chest of drawers should be arriving tomorrow which means I can finally finish sorting out the stuff in my bedroom.

    Lainey

I am so sorry your mum had to miss some of the wedding but at least she saw the most important bit.

Don't try to do everything pet as you will make yourself ill as well. The quilting group seems as if it "gives everyone joy" so hope you feel able to continue for your sake as well.

I managed to get a gp appointment for next week and older dd has an important presentation tomorrow morning so fingers and toes crossed for her.

    Hugs to all
