Is my Micro SD card FUBAR?

The 32GB Micro SD card in my Dash Cam started misbehaving the other day, so, as a stop gap, I borrowed the 8GB card from my Mobile Phone.
Having installed a new 32GB card in my Dash Cam, I put the 8GB back in the Mobile Phone, but it was signalling error when I tried to view the contents.
I've tried formatting it in my PC, but it still isn't working in the phone.
Is the card FUBAR, or is it recoverable?

I usually find when my microsd cards fail that I can't format them either on the PC or in phone, I also can't add any more data although I may still be able to read the existing data on the card.
I'd agree with the post above to try formatting the card in phone.

Formatting a memory card may give you a very basic idea of whether it is functioning or not, but that really only tests a small proportion of the memory itself.
If you really want to confirm the integrity of a memory card you need to use a utility that writes data to every location and then goes back and checks that what it wrote is still there. Examples are H2testw and F3 - the former is Windows based, the latter Linux based.
F3 is in most of the common Linux repositories so it's easy to download, but it's command-line only.0 -
Thanks for the advice guys, but I gave up (life's too short) and bought a new card.0

Buying a new card is no guarantee that you'll end up with one that's fully functional. Both fakes and faulty (from new) cards are common these days.
I test all of mine from new, and send back any that have faults - I would not risk any unique content (e.g. photos) on an untested memory card.0 -
It's working.
I bought it from a market stall, and installed and tested it, before paying for it.0
