Possible morrisons more card scam

For some time we have had a feeling that sometimes the checkout staff don't give all the vouchers cashed in on the Morrisons more card scheme to the customer, pocketing the difference. This would be really easy to do if you aren't sure how many vouchers you are owed, in the rush of packing and paying for your shopping.
But today we had another situation. We handed over a number of £5 vouchers to pay for the shopping. The operator looked a bit suspicious....and sure enough when the receipt was checked, the operator hadnt cashed them all in. The operator was challenged and the missing vouchers handed back.
Any other experiences of this? Irs really a system open to fraud as the vouchers don't have to be cashed alongside a More card

I'm not familiar with these but if the bill was £51 & you handed over 2 x £5 vouchers then you would expect a bill of £41.
    How could they pocket any?
    The till would be short.

Only remotely relatable but I'm not always sure bonus nectar points or accumulators go through to my account in the maximum 28 day period. I think shortchanging people on vouchers happen in both the physical and virtual realms.

why would you need to check your receipt

being in multiples of £5 means the maths is simple.

you have your initial total, you hand over X x 5, take that off the initial total and thats your bill..simples

Maybe it was a simple case of she thought it had scanned and it hadn't? Very easy to do with multiple vouchers have done it on the shop and collect at Tesco myself before.

    Very easy mistake to make

the overly used MSE word 'scam', when there isnt one. mistake, error more likely.

There's apossibility of one member of staff being on the fiddle, but several ? Highly unlikely in this scenario.
