QuidCo Scottish Power Enquiry

Hi

Quick question about switching using QuidCo which seems to currently maximise cashback. I live at home with my father and the electricity bill is in his name so the switch to Scottish Power will be too but the QuidCo account is in my name. If we switched using QuidCo, would the cashback still be payable in this case?

Hi, cant answer your question, I'm afraid, but I also have a question -about a month ago I switched to Scottish Pwr via Quidco, did all the usual things,etc.The payment of £55 was soon validated and I have been waiting for contact from them.However, when I checked about the switchover with them, they emailed to say that they had no record of the switch. Now payment is due in October, so do I wait until payment is made then redo the switch, or will they simply decline the payment even if it has been validated?

AFAIK Quidco does match the person with the Quidco account to the person doing the transaction through Quidco. I have done various transactions through my account which are not for me (i.e. delivery names and addresses are not mine). I have taken out insurance for my mum and received the cashback no problem and phone contracts for other people.

Thought as much Searcher - so although it's technically not ok, often it goes through ok. Never mind - opened another account for my Dad just for this - just a case of spending enough to get the £5 admin fee back now!
