Thought something was up when going through the cancellation steps it asks for all of your card details. Sending it straight to spam. Glad this forum exists otherwise I'd be none the wiser.

As it seems you have clicked one of the links to get to the stage where it was asking for card details, it may be wise to do a quick sweep with malwarebytes , Incase any nasties have been "driveby'd" onto your machine ..

I got that mail too and I called apple. They said it's spam. Because their order id starting different. Be careful

Is the fact that the payment demanded is just under £30 relevant in any way?

Whoever go to the step where you need to put your credit card details, PLEASE CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD NOW! If logged in using your real Apple account, because all your details has been saved somewhere else as well.

I'm so glad someone posted about this so quickly.

I got the same email this morning.
I freaked out a little, since I'm a cover artist and download a lot of instrumental tracks. But yeah, logging into my iTunes account (not clicking the email links) showed nothing about this purchase. I noticed how hidden the email's 'Apple' contact details were, it was VERY vague. Instant check was required. Hope other people Google and see this post before it's too late.

As others have said, if anyone clicks the links in the email, do a scan and maybe even change your password just in case!

Be careful guys, nasty people out there!

Not Apple but Microsoft. Tax Bill for my purchase on the 15th August. I reported to Microsoft as a phising scam. I did not open the file or any of the links. The weird part is if you hover over the sender it does say Microsoft.com
