Morning all,
Slightly overcast here but looks as if I will brighten up later on, I am going back to work today as I feel so much better no 'episodes' since lunch time yesterday.
Spoke too soongot to work feeling awful again and had to rush to loo, boss took one look at me and sent me straight home, she said I would rather you were back well tomorrow as she is off, but tbh I will have to see how I feel I cant go in and keep rushing to the loo every 10 minutes, going to go back to bed for an hour now.
Lainey hope you have a lovely day and make loads of wonderful memories xx0 -

It just gets more worrying for you both. I really hope things improve soon.

Dh's family sound like real charmers, surely apart from DH there must be some decent ones. I suppose a hospital wedding to give his friend some say in her treatment is unrealistic?
I had a quick tidy round today as builder is coming to do some photographs of his work. Older dd is coming round later to drive me to diet club and should be surprised at the difference.
The builder brought round DH's rocking chair which has been repaired and recovered in a nice dark red leather and I was so touched when he said he and his wife wanted to make the work a gift.
DD has reminded me I need to cook something to take tonight so thinking about making home made fish pate with chunks of cucumber and green pepper as crudites. Not sure whether I have time to make a crustless quiche as well but don't want to mess up the kitchen.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Haircut done! Now I can see and be seen.
My hairdresser recommended that I use a 'silver shampoo' as my grey hair is taking over. I wouldn't mind if it went white as my Dad had lovely white hair. Mind you I didn't realise his hair was so white until he was in hospital as he used Brylcreem normally. I did some online research and have ordered what looks like the most recommended stuff.
I've done some online work, lots of emailing and checking of progress of learners. My sick neighbour's daughter called round and we discussed her mother for a while as she's now in hospital.
My last chore was cutting the back grass, even though there's been no rain for three days the ground is still wet so it was a tough job. I've left the cuttings on the ground so the nutrients go back in, well, that's the theory anyway.
Elona - it's always so lovely to read about your home renovations. You've been so determined and focussed during it all. I'd say 'well done' though it may sound patronising so 'brilliant' will have to do!
After my late night gold medal watch I'm sure to have an early night tonight. It seems such a shame to go to bed when there's still light in the sky as probably in a couple of months' time I'll be moaning about the early darkness.0 -
H/H what dreadful people to behave like that at a funeral, if nothing else you would expect some respect for the deceased..
Oh dear some of you really are going through it at the moment.
Today the weather turned out to be another scorcher and DGS Ben ended up with very sunburned knees(he was told to put cream on them ,but like all youngsters they find out the hard way)
We went to Carisbrooke Castle this morning and had a picnic lunch whilst watching the Jousting and Birds of Prey flying. Then it was so hot we decided to go to Osbourne House and sit under the trees and have a cuppa there.I have an EH card so we only had to pay for my son-in-law and he gets a student concession (even though he is 47,he is doing a degree in civil engineering , so has his student card with him)
Came home via the nice Aldi's in Cowes and got a good trolley full for £75 Tomorrow we have relations coming over from the mainland for a BBQ.Topped up with lots of stuff and should last us until past the weekend fingers crossed..
Just going to sit in the garden with a long cold drink of something alcoholicand relax for a bit as son-in-law is cooking dinner
Hope you all have a good evening
Cheers chums
