how to get old statements from Littlewoods or Black horse

I have previously held accounts with Littlewoods, Very and Freeman's catalogs a few years ago and now would like to check if i was paying PPI on these accounts. Unfortunately i closed these accounts and wondering how i can find old statements to check if i was paying PPI or not. (Pretty sure I was)
Also had car fiance with black horse, again i no longer have copies of these statements?

Any help much appreciated, not a clue what i'm doing.

You can send a DSAR (costs £10) to the company for a copy of everything they hold on you, include as much info as possible such as old addresses, maiden name etc

I'd start by ringing them though, they can usually tell from the account if it had PPI, only need to resort to the DSAR if the frontline staff can't see your accounts. Use the account numbers from your old paperwork or look on your credit reports for stuff active in the last 6 years

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Did you get anywhere with these claims? I also had Freemans catalogue, finance with Black Horse for a tv, and car finance (I don't think I had PPI as I distinctly remember the guy asking me if I wanted it and I think I said no? But may be wrong!)

Since the thread was only started 10 days ago, I very much doubt any "claims" have been successful (or otherwise) yet!

Just ring them up and ask to check your account and see if it had PPI on it (or check your old paperwork), it's as simple as that
