House rendering and gutter work

Perhaps prompted by seeing the other thread being reawakened, we've had a couple of quotes and I wonder what I should make of them? Quite similar overall, though the breakdown is very different:
1. Remove all gutters, fascia, soffits and downpipes.
Replace with new 10mm soffit boards, 18mm fascia boards and black deepflow gutters and downpipes. COST £2,840Inc all labour and materials.
RENDERING OF HOUSE: Cut out roughcast were needed and block out with dubbing.
Apply pva bonding to roughcast followed by one coat of bottom coat render and one coat of top coat render (choice of colours). COST £2,160Inc all labour and materials.
2. pvc soffits facia and guttering including pipes for £1200, plus £3000 rendering whole house (not so much detail given here, but he said he'd be chipping out any loose bits of the existing pebbledash and coating over 2 coats, one scratch and one render)
Now the first guy went into a bit more detail and has a much more formal business image, and I know he's been going a few years as he's based in the village I have lived in for 7 years. Overall there isn't a huge difference, but I'm just wondering mainly why the first guy is so expensive for the gutter and woodwork compared to the second? The house is a 4 bed detached bungalow.
