Sorry if this is not the correct place to post.
I purchased goods from a store taking their interest free finance. I am returning the goods to the store - my query is on the back of store receipt it states goods can be returned within 28 days of purchase, but finance company states 14 days to cancel. Which time frame is applicable to me???

Are the goods faulty, or perhaps not conforming to contract in some other way?

The 28 days offered by the store.

The 14 day cancellation on the finance can't be used to cancel the purchase anyway it only cancels the finance part of the transaction (you have to pay the finance company back the money they lent you within 30 days of cancelling the finance)

Wealdroam - Goods are fine, just an unsuitable gift. The store quotes on back of receipt 'happy to offer an exchange or refund etc

The finance and the goods are two separate issues. If you leave it more than 14 days you had better be sure there is no penalty for paying off the finance early after the cancellation period expires.
