Here are some websites for farmer's markets, and farm shops in/near Cardiff. Great veg in farmers market. The food in the farm shops is quality as opposed to cheap.

I can second the recommendation for the Riverside market - it's getting bigger all the time and has a wide range of stalls selling both ingredients and ready made foods etc.

Have a day out. It's a bit pricey though, except the organic veg, which i think is ok priced, but my complaint is that the veg does not display his prices.
