Parking Ticket London Appeal

Im a resident in London and pay to park outside my house with a permit.
I received a parking ticket the other morning due to parking contravention 21r (suspended bay).
There are signs on some lampposts detailing that it was to be suspended for that day but as i had no idea of this ive obviously got a ticket. I rarely use my car as it is so i was never going to spot this.
What is the best grounds to appeal this does anyone know?

As we tend to major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for council tickets. Register there and post a new thread, do not use a hotmail address - won't work; here's your link:

Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.
PePiPoo has an excellent success record in dealing with council tickets.
You might also like to read this article which contains links to a DIY robot to appeal council tickets. How effective it is has been questioned - take a look and make your own mind up.

HTHPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
