If you don't have any documentation from your own archive, I think you are going to struggle advancing this...

Thanks for your response. So as I understand it there is no contact address for Wilmslow then ?

They were in default more than a year ago. Read the responses to your earlier threads which I linked to above...
There may be some records of your loan from 2007/8, but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a positive response from Wilmslow Financial Services.

    Try Google for address.

Well we have finally got the forms back from the ex signed (don't ask!).

It seems that when the loan was redeemed they received a rebate.Does this in anyway affect a claim being made ?

A rebate from an early repayment will include the PPI if it was single premium so would reduce the payout but otherwise no

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I would assume the PPI policy started on the day the loan was taken, or, with the first loan payment.
Have you tried First Plus re the insurer details?, long shot I know but give it a try.
