TSB - Registering for Online Banking.

hi.
opened account online a week ago and have received the DC and PIN.
is there a way of getting online banking setup without the user ID that is also said to be sent by post? ie. there's no online only option to signup?

if its a matter of waiting for the user ID by post, what happens when it does arrive? I wasn't asked for password setup or anything. will the 1st use of the user ID prompt further setup questions etc?

thank you.

When you completed the application did you not get told the account number sort code and that the account was open and ready to use.

The User ID is sent to your address, the letter will explain what to do, if it says sit on your hands then do so.

yea, all that. not really sure why I posted. is it hot enough to blame heat stroke? yea, that'll do, heat stroke, plus the fact I'm impatient due to heat stroke and a week seems along time to wait for an ID code when suffering heat stroke.
    cheers.

I got the activation code through the post but the user ID was setup when signing up online initially. If you check your email it should show your ID on the email. Put this in with your password and then you'll get asked for the activation code.

    update:
I'm in. I was messing about with "forgot details" links and it turns out as I had a TSB account previously(closed last year), those details were my login details. I'd have never got anything through the post.

it was not mentioned anywhere to use old login details but im in now.

    thanks.
