Advice on saving a large sum

Hi,
We live overseas but are about to sell a property for approx £300k. Given the state of sterling at the moment, it's not a good time to take the proceeds overseas and so need advice on where to place the cash. We will consider re-investing in another property in the UK, but have not yet seen something suitable. Can anyone recommend where we should put the cash in the short term with the best return, with no risk involved (we're also aware that we may need to split the cash across different accounts because of the £75k cap for safe saving).

Best bet is likely to be http://www.nsandi.com/income-bonds which (a) are safe at that level and (b) can be acquired from overseas, unlike many UK-oriented accounts that may pay a little more.0
