PPI refunds when 100% repaid

We completed our IVA over 18 months ago. In the end (as one of our creditors chose not to claim from the later settlements) we ended up showing as having paid 100% of the debt back, as all other creditors were paid in full. However, there were still PPI claims being pursued when the agreement ended which we have heard nothing about, plus a loan we had years ago has come to light since we had our completion certificate which may have PPI. Are we entitled to claim from the loan we've discovered without telling DFD and what should be happening to anything subsequently realised from the PPI? We're worried that, as the claims were pursued through DFD, the company would have no real interest in being proactive. Many thanks.

Hi scallywag28
Are you saying that DFD promptly abandoned any remaining PPI investigations once they had recouped enough to settle your debts and their fees in full? That would suggest that there are still unresolved PPI reclaims you could reinstate yourself if you so wished.

The simple answer is that we don't know. On our final statement, about £400 had come in off the PPI but we'd returned multiple claim forms on their instruction and have heard nothing since, despite it being a condition that we modified our terms so that the claims could be pursued after the IVA was closed. So we don't know if claims were unsuccessful or whether they just have no incentive to claim more or they've had more money and are holding on to it. I don't know if I could pursue a claim against these accounts through another company because I don't know whether that would be illegal or dishonest. Equally, if I do, I don't know if I have to declare anything that does come back to the IVA provider. Having waited a year for a completion certificate (despite badgering them) I don't hold out any hope that the provider would want to help, but I don't know whether I have the right to contact the PPI firm myself as the IVA provider appointed them.0
