Informal Overdraft & Credit File

No formal overdraft
A few weeks ago I withdrew cash from my HSBC current account at 10.30pm and got an automated text message a few mins later from HSBC saying I was overdrawn by £15 as a result.
The text msg said HSBC had granted an informal overdraft and advised me to clear the informal overdraft by 11.45pm to avoid a £5 informal overdraft charge. I immediately transferred to that bank account £100 from another account and it was before 11.45pm
I notice that I have not incurred any charges as a result of this but I was wondering if HSBC will still post this to my credit file as a marker of unarranged overdraft / missed payment etc

Possibly but probably not. Only one way to find out.0

HSBC are lethal when it comes to issuing late payment markers due to failed Direct Debit's, standing orders, bounced cheques and in this case, use of an unplanned overdraft.
There may be a chance they won't report it if they haven't charged you. The only way of knowing for sure if they've left a late payment marker is by viewing your credit file or try ringing the customer service and asking them.
