Breakdown cover

Hi all,
I'm looking for breakdown cover for my car. I need to get this sorted ASAP as I'm driving from Liverpool to Kent with my kids later on this week.
After looking on the compare sites and the individual sites it is very apparent that the well known companies are more expensive.
What I'm wondering is how reliable the lesser known companies are? If the worst should happen I want to know that I'm not going to be left stranded on the side of the motorway.
What breakdown cover does everyone else use?
I will be going for a Fully comp cover.
TIA

Thank you, I was reading it before I posted. What I. Wondering is although it says Best buy and cheapest etc how reliable are they. Yes I would like to save money if possible but I wouldn't want to be stranded somewhere because the recovery time is so long.0 -

Once you get out of the direct branded fleets from the big boys, then most recovery policies will be subcontracting to the same garages anyway.marcsshell wrote: »but I wouldn't want to be stranded somewhere because the recovery time is so long.0 -
You may want to get a move on because if your travelling this week your journey maybe excluded. Cover excluded for the first 24 hours to 3 days is fairly typical.
Its only when you need them that you find out how good they are.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
