PCN on Company Car

We have received in the post a PCN from Smart Parking following a trip to Matalan.
I have been unable to find any info on the Forum about Company cars so am requesting assistance.
The original paperwork was sent to my husband's employer as owner of the car and they provided my husband's details to Smart Parking.
The PCN dates from 23/7 but we did not receive the letter from them until 12/8 by which time we had thrown away the parking ticket purchased.
I have emailed Matalan Customer Services to ask for assistance but they have fobbed me off to appeal to Smart Parking online which will be difficult without the parking ticket we purchased.
Assistance would be greatly appreciated.
We were shopping in Matalan on the day and spent £60. We bought a ticket and displayed it on the car, and received our £1 refund in store which is shown on our receipt. The PCN shows 2 photos of the car entering and leaving the car park but does not state exactly what the "offence" is. We were there for an hour and 21 mins and I'm guessing that we were only allowed an hour. I can't find any info about the terms and conditions of the car park online.

You'll beat Smart Parking at POPLA (but need to through the initial appeal stage first). Make sure you stay in keeper mode, do not reveal who the driver was.
Whenever a strong POPLA appeal is produced, Smart don't seem to contest it, giving the appellant a default victory, but unfortunately you have to jump through all the hoops before getting there. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As above, appeal as keeper - keeper doesn't just mean registered keeper. Just because it is your husband's company car doesn't mean he was driving ... after all, both myself and my wife (and any other company employee) is eligible to drive my company car.0

when the ombudsman serice took over from London counsils the BPA made a swift remake of the contract wording
when the system started back in 2012 , any company issuing a POPLa code and allowing the "accused" to file his case was charged £27 + Vat
however it seems that the new contract set up between the ombudsman service and the BPA allows for the quick "no contest" (after the "accused" comments) without the parking Co being charged £27 , as the ombudsman service has done no workSave a Rachael

So that's why Smart use that modus operandi ... to weed out the weak-willed at no cost to them.0
