Anyone used Resolver? Currys Complaint

Hi All
I wondered if anyone has had experience using the Resolver service for resolving complaints? I've only had a brief look at their website so far, but am debating whether to try it.
I'm having problems with Currys. I ordered a range cooker from them mid-July for delivery last week when my kitchen was being installed. They failed to deliver two days running before admitting that they not only couldn't supply the item but that they knew they couldn't supply on the day they took my money!
I obviously want a refund, but I also want Currys to cover the cost of the gas fitter who was standing around in my kitchen waiting for a delivery that didn't happen and who now has to come back again once I've sourced a cooker from elsewhere. I also want to know if I'm entitled to any contribution towards feeding me and the OH for another week because I have no method of cooking except a microwave. I've never eaten a ready meal in my life until this week - can I bill Currys for a bunch of M&S microwave meals?? :rotfl:

You really dont need to eat ready meals from a microwave. You can actually cook in them . Good luck with Resolver thoughmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Do you have anything in writing about them knowing they couldn't supply when accepting your order?
Your claim for the wasted cost of the gas fitter is probably reasonable; for meals etc. probably not.0 -

To be honest, I only got the microwave because my mum was giving it away. Its 20 years old if its a day and we've only ever used it to warm milk, heat my wheat-bag or cook scrambled egg! I wouldn't know where to start on anything else.Do you have anything in writing about them knowing they couldn't supply when accepting your order?
Yes, they tweeted me saying that they knew there was a website glitch and they thought that they'd contacted everyone affected, but must have missed me. This they said despite the bloke in the Customer Services department telling me that it was definitely on the lorry, just stuck in traffic less than an hour before!Your claim for the wasted cost of the gas fitter is probably reasonable; for meals etc. probably not.
Thought so. The OH was just so cross at missing out on his Sunday lunch he needs compensation for the psychological trauma! (J/K)0 -
Off topic ... I saw a covers band recently call Zephyr; very good they were too.0

I'm using Resolver for my delayed flight claim with Aer Lingus - 4 months down the line, 2 escalations so far, not one word back from AL yet. The good thing about Resolver is that it gives you a time line for each stage of escalation, and generates the emails for you. But I would recommend that you check as far as possible that the person it is addressed to is a reasonable option, the AL person it used for the first escalation hadn't worked there for 2 years so I had to ask them to update it.0

I had a bad experience with resolver. They ignore complaints against themselves, and won't update their database to stop messing complainants around.
I tried resolver with coop car insurance and after a month found that coop car insurance did not get the complaint, because they only record those over the phone or by letter. I send a message to resolver to explain the issue, month passed and they did not bother to remove coop car insurance from their list of companies with which they can assist. Eventually, I complaint through resolver, to resolver!!!! Nothing happened. Escalating the complaint did not even get me a thank you from resolver for helping them keep their system up to date!!!!0
