Can someone from Cheap Energy Club tell me why the SSE tariff you are quoting on the comparison site does not give you the option of the paperless tariff?
I have just done a comparison using the Energy Helpline and it gives you the option of paperless, which is £12 cheaper, or non-paperless billing.
Regards,
Paul

Very quick response received from MSE Laura at Cheap Energy Club
Hi Paul,
Thanks for getting in touch. I'm afraid there's currently a glitch on our site where the paperless version of this tariff is not showing on the comparison results page. Our tech team is now working hard to resolve this issue!
However, you can still apply for the paperless version of this tariff through our site and get the paperless discount you've mentioned.
If you click on the paper version of the tariff, when it comes to filling in the switch application form, you'll be given the option to select paperless billing.
I hope this information helps.
Thanks
MSE Laura

This can happen quite often with comparison sites and various suppliers, hence why it's often best to consult more than one.
It depends on how the comparison site handles the tariff variations, which itself probably depends in part as to how the supplier treats it.
i.e. is a tariff that offers one or more discount/oncost possibilities actually a separate tariff, or a variation of an existing one?
If it is treated by the comparison site as the same tariff, does it list the cheapest option (with a possible surcharge) or the expensive option (with the possible discount) or a combination of both (where more than one oncost/discount could apply)?
It the comparison site attempts to list every possible variation, that could be an awlful lot of different tariff combinations for what is essentially just one tariff.0
