Do you mean is there mains gas supplied to the property?
If so, probably best to ask the seller/landlord/agent.

If you know already there is not mains gas to the property, but wondering if there is mains gas supplied to nearby property, then that was probably something your parents should have looked into before buying the property if it was that important to them.
If they are renting the property, it's purely acedemic.

Hello!

You can call the Meter Number Helpline 0870 608 1524 (XO-Serve) to check who the current supplier is, and if there is a grid connection.

Or, just ask anyone with an XO- Serve login to have a look, I'm sure the E.ON colleagues on this forum will have this (not sure if there are any other energy firms here - Bulb?). I have access, but I suspect you don't want to be DM'ing me the postcode and first line of address :P
