Hello All.
Require a bit of advice please, I've read the newbie section but had a few variations to what has been mentioned within the text.
My wife parked in a privately operated car park using the Parkmobile App. Unfortunately the registration for her old car was used when making the payment and we have received a Parking Charge Notice.
The alleged breach was on 25th March and the PCN is dated 9th August. We received the PCN on the 13th August. The PCN has misspelt her name.
I am wondering which of the following routes to take.
1) Ignore the letter as they have misspelt her name on the PCN as the registered keeper.
2) Reply using the IPC member parking firm template (from the newbies guide) which requires us to use the registered keepers correct name and address.
3) Write a simple letter with a copy of the receipt showing the old registration plate explaining the error and therefore admitting ownership for the mistake and acknowledging their PCN.
I am inclined to take step 2 but was unsure as this would then provide the correct spelling and for the registered keeper and then any correspondence from debt agencies would have the correct name for correspondence and any action taken.
Any help is appreciated as we are well within the require response/payment time. The PCN is for an amount of £60 but in my mind, since we paid they have experienced no loss of earnings.
Many Thanks in advance.

step 2)
dispute the invoice and any alleged debt
do not give them ammunition to fire their guns at you , not unless it gets to an MCOL0 -
Thank you.
I'll draft out step 2 using the template and the correct spelling for the registered keepers name and address.
I will not mention the error in the number plate used.
Thanks.0
