Old Bank Account

ok so I had an old Bank account with HSBC 2004-2015 closed now as moved banks....

I was just wondering could they still order statements since when the account was opened?

I am only wondering as wanted to know what I have spend/earn't over the years etc...

If they can't do It I am not fussed

But I will probably have to pay a fee

It's unlikely that they would be prepared to go back 12 years, even if they have the data. And it is likely that they would charge per sheet. You could perhaps ask about a Subject Access Request, the maximum charge is £10 but it may just be a data dump without any formatting to make it readable, and they would probably still only go back 6 or 7 years.

ok so they won't give me copy statements??

That's all i wanted really if not then i won't bother

They may not have them.
Legally they need only keep them for 6 years but most now have digital records that will go back further and further .... but yes you are probably going to have to pay a fee.
Is it really worth it?
