Good morning
I love a Sunday, it lets me get a head for the week so that I'm not running about after 9 hour shifts
Sunday-Chicken, bacon and mushroom spaghetti
Monday- Vegetable omelettes with salad and spring rolls
Tuesday- Chick pea stir fry
Wednesday- Steak with sweet potato chips
Thursday- Turkey cheese burgers with fried mushrooms and garlic bread
Friday- Wrap pizza
Saturday- What ever is left in the fridge thrown in to a curry
I need to buy mushrooms as we have none left and we go through a packet a day
Other than that I have every thing in.
Breakfasts will be home made yoghurt with oats and dried fruit added.
Lunches will be egg mayo salad or left overs. I also have some soup in the freezer if people want something hot.
Off to search my supermarket to see who has mushrooms the cheapest this week. Have a good week :A

Hi there So Worried. I try to do to same thing on a Sunday so that my OH has a shopping list ready for him to go to Lidl on the Monday (he always has Mondays off). I haven't finished next week's menu plan yet but having cleaned out the big shelf in the food cupboard last week we seem to have a heck of a lot of risotto rice in the back there. So far the meals for next week are looking like:
Today - veggie cottage pie (to use up LO mashed potato and cooked green lentils)
Monday - pea and mushroom risotto (cooked my OH so I have already given firm instruction on which recipe to use and not to get experimental)
Tuesday - HM gnocchi probs baked in a tomato sauce with a bit of cheese on top! (still using up LO mashed potato and tomatoes from Mum's garden. I also want to use my gnocchi paddle I got on my holibobs this year)
Other foodie plans for today to make the rest of the week easier is a big batch of tomato and lentil soup to have for my lunches, make up and cook the LO vegetable cutlet mix from yesterday so I can freeze them, and bake a couple of bread loaves.
Phew! I had better get cracking as I have a stack of table runners to make today too.Vintage loving, allotment holding, low waste living. Indi = DH. Maisie Bones = fur baby

Room for a little one I hope.
I've been working part time since Lollypop was about 6 months - half days, but I'm starting a phased return to full time over the next few months.
This week it's three full days (tuesday, wednesday and thursday):
I do the cooking - OH works more than full time, we're both trying to lose some weight, and we're feeding two tiny tots.
Hoping for an easy week so a little repetitive.

Roast Chicken, New Potatoes, Peas, Broccoli
Tuesday (first day back full time!)

Chicken Fried Rice with Mushroom, Peppers, Peas, Sweetcorn

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

I've got a bigger bottom - can I squeeze in too? I really wish I spent a little time meal planning, as I find myself scrabbling around trying to cobble together food for my clan at least half the week. DH is home on holibobs this week and the skids are here from Wednesday onwards and boy, can my DSS pack away his food, so need to have lots in to keep him happy.
Here goes:
Mon - chicken tikka masala, basmati rice and naan bread
Tues - tray baked salmon and veggies
Weds - spicy lamb tagine with apricots and minted couscous
Thurs - paprika pork goulash with with rice.
Fri - sausage casserole with mashed potato and carrots
Sat - Spanish tortilla with ham and cheese
Sun - Roast beef, roast pots and veg (Yorkshire puddings if I get time and there's room in the oven.)
No ideas for puddings as yet...0 -

My daughter, who is an MD, raves about how great mushrooms are for our health. She has me using them all the time too.
DD, I think potsticker soup will have to be tried at my house in New Mexico this week. It sounds wonderful and I have leftover Asian veg from a stir fry I can add. Yum! Great idea.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Hmm... so like wontons?
I may now have to pop into my local asian supermarket and make wonton soup rather than tofu... Or maybe tofu soup with wontons and dipping sauce.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott
