  • Sun has poked out of the clouds and it is really pleasant here today :)
No washing because I have caught up all week and there are only a few bits in the basket.
DH has gone to see his Mum and I have got some Gammon on the stove which we will have with mash and salad today.
Neighbour just brought a bag of plums around so Plum Duff for dessert today:D

We were at yet another barbecue last night and had a great time.

If it stays this bright we will sort the smallest shed out this afternoon because the window needs fixing.

DH was supposed to start his holiday tomorrow but has had to put it back a day because the builders are coming in :mad: So he has two days to tag onto the end of his holiday. Good job we haven't booked anywhere, we are just going to do day trips, the second week is two hospital visits for me on the 23rd and 25th, so no going away that week either. We are going away in October half term though so not too bad.

Lainey so sorry to hear about your Mum (((Hugs)))

Oh Jackie, I love the Mouse. Once I wrote down all the sayings they have painted over doorways.

Hope you enjoy the beach. Pickle went down this afternoon with her Dad and one of our friends who is a fisherman had his boat moored in the shallow water so she was able to float around in the boat which made her very happy.

It looks as though you will be getting some decent weather this week.

Am showing my age, as I remember the 'mouse' before it was extended and became 'child friendly' - sat outside with a packet of salt n shake and a bottle of pop, waiting for the grown ups to come out, then in my teens parting with 50p for a 'half' before cadging a lift to 'Barney's Road House' a 'disco' on the military road and walking home:eek: well being picked up by a kindly copper :D

    Evening all,

Just caught up with your news Laney. So sorry to hear the news about your Mum.

Busy weekend for me. I have had my Grandson for most of it and i'm shattered. Not physically but mentally as he doesnt shut up! He is just like his Mummy was at that age. Hubby has been working on his latest project in the garden and he has put up my new blind in the kitchen. I'm pleased about that.

    Has anyone heard from Hilstep?

    Have a good evening all,
