I have a nagging feeling that the seller didn't get the phone from where he said he did. I dunno. Something isn't right. Female intuition maybe :rotfl:

I simply don't believe that Currys PC World even on eBay would sell a hot phone. I don't know how the original owners' stolen phone came to be unblocked legally and available for sale. As I understand, that owners insurance company should have the phone (assuming it was 'found' again by owner, after he'd claimed for a new handset) .

I should add that guy I got it off bought it from eBay currys PC World outlet store so he told me. He did send a copy of receipt for a Note 4 but without imei number on receipt, it could be any Note 4.

    You go after him.
If he then wants to go after the person he "bought" it from, that's his problem.

Obviously it stinks, but just focus on what you can control - forget the police and PC World. Sue him and have all your ducks (documentation) in a row.

If you've purchased stolen goods from a private seller then I don't see how you can claim back the money from your Bank.

But you can from the criminal that sold it.;)

Of course successfully winning judgement and actually getting the money are two very different things, especially when dealing with those with a propensity to act illegally (dishonestly)
