Faulty mobile phone

Hi everyone.
I was hoping for some advice.
In April 2015 I bought a mobile phone from shopping channel Ideal World. It was a brand that was unfamiliar to me but it came with a 2 year warranty, upgraded to 3 years if you registered the phone on the manufacturers website. Also they would make 1 free screen repair if it was dropped etc.
This is the handset;

So now the power on/off button isn't working and I contacted Kazam through their "contact us" giving them the IMEI and details of my purchase asking for a repair under the warranty. They replied
"Good Afternoon,
Thank you for your email,
Please accept my apology for the delay in response to you,
In relation to your enquiry, I would advise for you to speak with Ideal Word whom you purchased the handset from, as this was not purchased directly from KAZAM I am afraid we do not have anything to do with the warranty.
I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Kind Regards
Jonathan
KAZAM Team"
I was a bit thrown by that as I thought I would have to deal with Kazam and not the shopping channel.
I have not contacted Ideal World yet as I am not sure what the manufacturer has wrote back is correct. Can anyone give me advice on what should happen in this situation?
Thanks.

What does that warranty say about who is responsible?0

In the first instance contact the Shopping Channel who sold you the product.
You probably need to examine the warranty terms and conditions. Does it say that customers who don't purchase directly are covered by the extended warranty?0 -
From https://www.kazam.mobi/html/pdf/warranty/Warranty-uk.pdfFor further information on how to claim warranty, please contact your Distributor.
It looks like the warranty is dealt with through the seller0 -
Hi.
Thanks for help with this.
I called Ideal World and I have to take the phone to my nearest Asda store and they will forward it to the shopping channel for a replacement or repair.
Seems dead easy.
Thanks again.0
