Hotel in Krakow, Poland

Hi, I am looking for some advice please
We are a couple in our early 70's.
First time going to Krakow end of September.
We would like some recommendations on a nice Hotel near the square.
Any advice on climate, hotels, restaurants etc would be much appreciated.

    depends on your budget.

most of the hotels and apartments around the square are "nice"

same applies to the restaurants around the square, I have never found a bad one

i have been beginning of OCT the weather was warm and sunny

have you searched this board as there has been a few threads about Krakow
  • I've also been in October and had sunshine.
A nice hotel near the railway station (so not too far to walk from the shuttle train from the airport) is the Europeski, it's also easy to walk to the square from there. Mind you, most of Krakow is walkable - even for an old codger like me)!
    Normal people worry me.

I did ask in first post what is your budget.

I have experience of an apartment (was great)

a low budget hotel and a high budget hotel both were great but different of course
