transfers in turkey

just after some advice, 4 of us are going to icmeler in turkey in a few weeks, and are trying to work out if it is cheeper to get a taxi from dalaman airport the the resort, or if we are better off hiring a car. I have had quotes from transfer websites for around £80 one way for a taxi, or a hire car for the week at £140. I presume it will be cheaper to arrive at the airport and find a taxi, but just wondering if anyone has any ideas at how much we are looking at, and wether a taxi will take 4 people?
We dont fancy getting a coach transfer.

You get minibus taxis.
It is often cheaper if you get your hotel to organise it. Ask them how much . I think £80 is expensive. If you have never been to Icemeler hiring a car first time could be a bit hairy!

£80 return from Dalaman to Icmeler is about the going rate and yes taxis take 4 people.

thanks for your help guys, managed to find a company that will do it for £80 return, just shows if you look around and ask the right people, you can save a lot of money!

Oh, and lastly, some general advice... you can take the Havas shuttle bus from the airport, which goes to Marmaris via a few places. Take about 90 mins to Marmaris, but they have other routes too.

Unfortunately these are timed around the Turkish airline flights, so if you are stuck, don't get a taxi to your destination, take instead a taxi to Dalaman. Then take the bus from the central station!
