Parking Appeal

Can anyone with more knowledge than I offer some advice? I recently received a Parking Charge Notice issued by a Private Parking firm as my time on the ticket had expired. The reason this happened as the cost for 2 hrs was £2, which I put into the machine and was issued a ticket. Upon returning to my car I saw I had been issued a parking charge notice. What had happened was one of my coins must have not registered so I was 10p short and had only bought a ticket for 1 hr. My argument for appeal is why would I buy a ticket for 1 hour and over pay by 90p? It's obviously a genuine mistake and anyone with common sense would see that, however they say as soon as you appeal if rejected the fine automatically rises to £100 from £60.
Should I suck it up and just pay or is it worth me appealing to their better nature? The company is a member of the IPC trade body. Please help Thanks!!

It is not a fine.
Do not pay, do not ignore, do not appeal using what happened on the day because you will lose.
Please read he Sticky thread for NEWBIES then send the IPC template letter you will find there. Don't appeal too soon but don't miss the appeal deadline.
What is the name of the name of the parking company?
This assumes the alleged event happened in England or Wales, not Scotland or NI.
Do not reveal who was driving, never 'phone a parking company.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Thanks, Ive got the template and will reply in a few days as you've advised. The company is A S Parking based in Newquay Cornwall, acting on behalf of Padstow Harbour Comissioners. Thanks again for your reply0

a harbourmaster cancellation is your best bet
parking companies rarely uphold an appeal as they make no money from it
once you are dangling on the hook , its 6 years of mither and harassment , unless you pay in full
IPC members are much worse compared to their BPA counterparts, most are failed BPA members anyway0
