No its not, I'm heavily involed in equestrianism, I don't know a single horse owner who has ever hunted anything. I do however know lots of hunters who haven't touched a horse nevermind rode one.
What you're claiming is no different than saying hooliganism is part of football, or benefit fraud is part of britain.
Hunting is indeed an equestrian category, I don't know why you'd think it isn't. You know, red jacket, nicely turned out horse. Dogs and foxes...0 -

I once hunted with the Aldershot Foot Beagles. Not a horse in sight - as the name implies.

I know lots of people involved in equestrianism who are involved with a hunting.
Equally I know lots of people involved in equestrianism who aren't involved in hunting.
I know lots of people involved with equestrianism who don't do show jumping, doesn't mean show jumping isn't part of equestrianism
