Halifax Clarity Credit Card for UK purchases

My wife tried to get a Clarity Credit Card a while back but has she already has a Halifax credit card she was turn down ,so you can only have one or the other
If She swaps to a clarity is just like a normal credit card for purchases in the UK you have a month to pay it off r does the interest get loaded on from day one ??

It is a normal credit card. There is no "interest loading."0

When we applied she was turned down as she already had a credit card with them ...But this was 2-3 years ago0 -
