Maternity Allowance

Hiya all,

Quick question on maternity allowance,

My wife has been accepted and we have received a letter saying we will get the higher rate

It says on the letter we will get £139.58 per week and then

"The first payment of maternity allowance will be £239.28 for the period from 14/8/2016 to 25/8/2016"

You will then be paid two weeks on a Thursday starting from 8/9/16

I am right in my assumption that the first payment will be on the 25th August as the way it is worded does not make it clear if it is the 14th or the 25th

Total to date ( Since 2008 ) = £37,345

Yes, it will be paid on the 25/8 (or thereabouts) as it is paid in arrears.
