Help Please

Hi

I'm hoping someone can help me please?

I recently found out that I needn't have been paying the premiums for our life & critical illness policy because I no longer work and have been unable to work due to ill health for the last 6 years.

I have submitted a claim for the premium protection but what I wanted to know is, will they backdate it to when I left my job?

I had no idea I shouldn't have been paying as I'm sick/no longer work and it was only during the phone call where I was querying where we were with regards to the decreasing of the policy that I was told.

Obviously I'm hoping they will be decent and backdate/refund me for the times I shouldn't have paid, because it has been a struggle to cover everything.

Thanks
