Applying for a loan and mortgage simultaneously

Hi, I want to apply for a BTL mortgage but I also want to get a loan on a cheaper rate to consolidate some debts.... If I apply for the mortgage first, other lenders may see that as an extra outgoing. So if I apply for the loan first and then the mortgage would the second lender see the other search on my credit file? If they were taken out days apart? Thanks
